Grandma's Marathon Sets New Record

Grandma’s Marathon has set a new personal record as the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon for 2025 sold out in under 18 hours. Officials say this is the second-fastest sellout in the event’s history, trailing 2018 when organizers moved from a lottery structure to a first-come, first-served basis. Only 18 hours after registration opened, over 15,000 people were reported as registered for one of the weekend’s three races. Runners can still sign up for the 13.1-mile race in June. The 2025 Grandma’s Marathon weekend in Duluth is scheduled for June 19th-21st.
