Vehicles Vandalized in Bemidji, Police Asking For Public Assistance

During the early morning hours on October 22nd numerous vehicles and buildings were damaged in the west central portion of Bemidji. Many of the vehicles sustained broken windows, slashed tires, scratched paint, graffiti and/or had an oily fluid poured all over the vehicle. Most of the damage occurred to vehicles and residences in the area between 3rd Street NW to 15th Street NW and Minnesota Avenue to Mississippi Avenue. The suspect is described as wearing black pants with a black hooded jacket.

Residents in and around this area are asked to check their security cameras for images or videos of the suspect between the hours of approximately 11:00pm on October 21st and 4:00am on October 22nd and forward the images to the Bemidji Police Department.

Additionally, the Bemidji Police Department would like to remind all residents of the Security Camera Registration and Mapping (SCRAM) program available through the City of Bemidji website under the Police Department. Registration is free and all information provided is confidential. Full details are available on the City of Bemidji website.
