Grand Rapids and Greenway Boys and Girls Club
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids and Greenway are ready to host Tee Up Fore Kids golf fundraiser presented by the Eagle’s Club 2469 & Eagle’s Club 2469 Auxiliary, on Thursday, August 22. Held at Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Coleraine, this event will raise funds for afterschool programming and all proceeds will directly benefit local youth. This four-person scramble will kick off with a shotgun start at 2:00 p.m. A light dinner and program will follow golfing. Since 2017, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids and Greenway have grown to meet the needs of disadvantaged youth in our rural communities. In fact, the Boys & Girls Clubs are the only non-athletic, non-religious, afterschool program for kids ages 6-18 in Itasca County. For more information please visit bgcnorth.org
GOMARTI is going to the Fair!
GOMARTI is excited to announce free rides for the Itasca County Fair as well for another few years due to a grant that was provided to the company. If your going to the Itasca County Fair this year and are looking for a ride from GOMARTI park at the Grand Rapids/Itasca County Airport. You then dial GOMARTI using the 211 service or the May Mobility App which is free to download and to use. A shuttle will arrive at your location and take you to the fair.
