Elijah Kehn, a 19-year-old from Eveleth, Minnesota, has been sentenced after being charged with three felonies for making threats to shoot his classmates at Rock Ridge High School. The incident occurred on April 3, 2024, when students at his lunch table reported that Kehn, upset over not getting what he wanted for lunch, threatened to bring a gun to school and shoot them. He was arrested the same day, and a judge placed him under an extreme risk protection order, prohibiting him from owning firearms. Kehn has a history of volatile behavior, and witnesses reported that he had made disturbing threats before. Although he initially denied the threats, he later admitted to making them while angry. His bail was set at $750,000, and he remains in jail. Concerns were also raised by parents about the lack of communication from the school following the incident. He will remain on supervised probation for three years.
