Sheriff Joe Dasovich Seeks Another Term

Current Itasca County Sheriff Joe Dasovich announced that he is seeking re-election, citing measurable progress made over the past term and a continued commitment to serving the residents of Itasca County with integrity, accountability, and a focus on public safety.

“Serving the people of Itasca County has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” Dasovich said. “Over the past 3 years, we’ve focused on practical solutions, responsible leadership, and strong partnerships to keep our community safe, strengthen trust, and ensure government works for the people.”
During their current term, Dasovich highlighted several accomplishments, including:
Addressed Staffing concerns and Employee mental health
Increased Public Safety, All Deputies are Certified 1st Responders and have been trained to address Community Mental Crisis
Established Strong Community Partnerships
Partnered with Cass County on our Jail to bring in revenue
As part of the re-election campaign, Sheriff Dasovich said their priorities moving forward will include strengthening Community Partnerships, improve staff knowledge, and continue to ensure that local government remains transparent, efficient, and accountable to the public.
“My approach has always been to lead with common sense and to put people above politics,” Sheriff Dasovich said. “I’m running for re-election to keep building on the progress we’ve made — and to keep putting the people of Itasca first.”
