Yesterday Robert J Elkington Middle School located in Grand Rapids received concerns about a potential threat against the middle school. An email and phone call were sent out to parents of students from administration. According to the email from administrators quote, “We received concerns about a potential threat at RJEMS. Please be assured that we took these concerns very seriously and acted immediately. Both law enforcement and our school personnel conducted a thorough investigation and found no evidence to support the credibility of the threat. The safety and well being of our students are our top priorities. We are committed to maintaining a secure environment for everyone at RJEMS.
