On Saturday September 21st around 630 in the evening located at Northbound Highway 169 at Highway 2, in Grand Rapids, a Chevy truck initiated a left turn across Northbound Highway 169 traffic when it entered oncoming left lane of traffic. The Chevy stopped for the Honda motorcycle in the lane of traffic, attempting to avoid a crash. While traveling northbound on Highway 169 the Honda motorcycle in left lane crashed into the Chevy pickup which had stopped their driving lane. The 66 year old male driver of the motorcycle was the only injured party on scene and was transported to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The motorcycle driver was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. According to the Minnesota State Patrol alcohol is considered to be a factor in the crash from the driver of the chevy truck. Grand Rapids Police Department and North Memorial Ambulance assisted the state patrol on scene.
