Missing Hunter found in Eveleth

A hunter was relocated Tuesday after a full day of bird hunting which led to family contacting law enforcement after not being able to reach him late in the day. According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, a 77-year-old Eveleth man began hunting near the Anchor Lake Rest Stop in Central Lakes around 9 Tuesday morning. Around 6 in the evening the Sheriff’s Office and Rescue Squad went looking for him, after concerned family flagged down State Troopers. Crews searched by foot, drone and using Minnesota State Patrol aircraft, finding the lost hunter around 9:30 at night. According to the St Louis County Sheriff’s Office, the hunter was cold but unhurt.
