The Myles Reif Performing Arts Center in Grand Rapids is hosting a local artist display until November. During the months of September and October, 21 members of the Loon County Quilters have submitted their creations to be displayed. Many of the displays from the members include charitable projects such as quilts to Deer River Emergency room and Veterans, as well as Hug a Bear for the Sheriff’s Department, DHS and Fire, and cancer quilts which head to the Infusion Center. The exhibit includes a variety of techniques that are modern to traditional quilting. There will be an artist’s reception on Oct 4th from 4 to 5 at the Reif Center.
