The Itasca County Board of Commissioners met for their regular scheduled board meeting yesterday. It took place at the Itasca County Courthouse Boardroom. The meeting was called to order at 230 and the pledge of allegiance was recited. The agenda was approved as written with 1 addition. The minutes of the meeting that took place last Wednesday were motioned and approved by the board. One topic of discussion was the public hearing on a rezoning application from David Eckstein. A member of the planning commission was present at the meeting who stated that the planning commission agreed with the rezoning and it was to be sent next to the county board. The board asked questions and read through the application. It had to be determined to allow the rezoning if it met certain criteria from the county which according to the board it did. Commissioner Venema motioned to accept with Commissioner Ives seconded the motion. Rezoning was passed. The rest of the meeting went on as it was written in the agenda.
