An ISD 318 School Board Forum was held at the Reif Center last night, Rapids Radio News Director Tony Schmid was there, and had a chance to speak with Superintendent Matt Grose after the event was over. Matt acknowledged that budget is a key issue. “You know, I know that budget is a big concern, and rightly so. I think there’s a lot that we’re doing around here besides budget, and I think there are a lot of things that we can be proud of as a school district despite those things. I don’t know that all the candidates are aware that we’ve balanced our budget the last three years. I didn’t hear anybody say that, and I think that would have been worth acknowledging and showed that people had done their research. So looking forward to more people asking questions about that”
