IASC Prom with a Purpose 2026

Prom with a Purpose will take place on Thursday, April 9th at the Reif Center in Grand Rapids.

Now in its third year, this event is a unique, sensory-friendly prom experience created especially for IASC students. It is thoughtfully planned and hosted by the GRHS Student Council, whose student leaders work hard to make the day meaningful, welcoming, and fun for everyone involved.

Students typically arrive around 9:30 AM and depart at 1:30 PM, with the most active and exciting portion of the event taking place between 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM.

The event includes a provided lunch, a full getting-ready experience with hair, makeup, nails, and donated semi-formal attire, a Grand March, a dance celebration, and sensory-friendly student-led activities.

Prom with a Purpose is all about creating a space where every student can feel comfortable, celebrated, and included.
