Human Remains Found in Burned Camper

On Monday October 21st at 815 in the morning the Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a camper and vehicle that had burned overnight at a residence in Shamrock Township. Human remains were located inside the camper and have been transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for identification. The State Fire Marshall was requested to investigate this incident. This incident remains under investigation pending autopsy. The Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the McGregor Fire Department and State Fire Marshall’s Office.
