Fire in Chisholm on Monday Oct 7th 2024

Firefighters from Chisholm, Hibbing, French Township, and Buhl were dispatched to a fire last night in Chisholm. The fire according to reports was around 9:30 at night in the 100 block of 1st Street Northwest. Firefighters did rescue a man from the house. He was transported by Chisholm Ambulance to the Hibbing hospital. No information has been released about his condition. The second story of the house received extensive damage. The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. The Chisholm Police Department provided traffic control and security at the scene.
