Fall Semester Starts on Monday

Minnesota North College is gearing up for fall semester. First day of fall semester 2024 will be taking place next Monday August 26th. Minnesota North College is made up of 6 different college campus across northern Minnesota. They include Itasca, Hibbing, Mesabi Range Virginia, Mesabi Range Eveleth, Rainy River and Vermillion. Minnesota North College merged together in May of 2023.

New students at the University of Minnesota Duluth are kicking off welcome week today. Event organizer Brenna Hucka says this week is about equipping students with what they need. She says, “As they’re figuring out their classes and their financial aid, we try and make sure that we are able to help connect them to resources that are here to support them on campus.” A mentalist, an improv group, and a carnival are some of the events planned for the week before classes start at U-M-D next Monday, August 26.
