A driver was transported to a local hospital following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Hibbing. At 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, a vehicle driven by a 27-year-old male from Hibbing was stopped in the eastbound lane of Hwy. 37 at Lauhala Road, waiting to make a left hand turn, when it was struck by a vehicle being driven by a 39-year-old female, also from Hibbing. The driver of the first vehicle was transported to Fairview Range Medical Center to be treated for what law enforcement determined to be non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the second vehicle also sustained non-life threatening injuries, but was not transported, according to the report. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
