The City of Coleraine invites all members of the public to an informational meeting at the Nyberg Center in Coleraine regarding the Maglron Air Permit. The meeting will take place on Monday August 19th from 6 to 8. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is hosting an in person public informational meeting about a proposed mining operation in Coleraine. Maglron LLC is the new owner for the former Prairie River Minerals Demonstration Plant, the former Mag Mining LLC Plant 4, and Jessie Loadout. The combined three sites are known as Maglron Plant 4. The proposed scram mining operation will produce high-grade iron ore from low grade legacy waste rock stockpiles. The material is intended to be crushed and processed using dense medium separation technology. A 30 day comment period on this project will begin on August 10th.
