The Taconite American Legion Baseball team returned to the win column with a convincing 10-1 victory over Esko in Marble on Tuesday afternoon.
Taconite raced ahead in the first with a lone run and tacked on four more in the second before adding two more in the third, a run in the fourth and two more in the fifth for the 10-1 win.
Kadin Kalisch was the beneficiary of the run support on the mound. He allowed only one hit in four innings of work. He walked six and struck out three in the win. Tyler Peterson pitched three innings of relief to get the save. He allowed one run on two hits while walking four and striking out three.
Pat Shea finished with three hits and scored two runs in the game. Kole Kalisch added three hits while Kadin Kalisch finished with three hits and drove home two runs. Joe LaDoux had a hit and drove in three runs in the game. Peterson had a hit and drove in a run as well in the victory.
Taconite sits at 8-6 overall on the season and returned to action on Monday when they squared off with Deer River.
