Taconite American Legion Post 301 earned its third straight win to start the season with a 4-3 road win over Two Harbors in Two Harbors on Monday evening. For the third straight game, Taconite trailed heading into the seventh inning before rallying for the win.
Two Harbors jumped ahead in the first inning only to see Taconite rally back to tie the game up in the third inning. Two Harbors regained the lead in the fourth only to see Taconite fight back to tie it in the sixth. Two Harbors regained the lead in the sixth inning to make it 3-2 setting up the seventh inning theatrics.
Joe LaDoux singled to start the rally in the seventh. He advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Tyler Peterson. Pat Shea followed with an RBI single to even the game at three. Kole Kalisch followed with a run scoring knock to give Taconite the 4-3 lead.
Pat Shea shut the door down in the seventh inning to pick up the win in relief. Mitch Bonderson pitched five innings but did not factor in the decision. He allowed three runs, two earned, on five hits while walking two and striking out four. Shea allowed only one hit while walking one and striking out one.

Shea finished with two hits at the plate and drove in a run. Kole Kalisch finished with three hits and drove home two runs. Kadin Kalisch finished with two hits and drove home a run.
