The Senate Capital Investment Committee made stops in Cohasset and Grand Rapids on Tuesday afternoon.
Chair Senator Dave Senjem and a committee group of about 8 listened to presentations from Max Peters, Cohasset Administrator and Dale Adams, Grand Rapids Mayor pitch projects in their respective communities. Peters, asking the committee for $1 million dollars to create a 25 mile mountain bike path through the Tioga Pit area and Adams, asking for $8 million dollars to transform the IRA Civic Center.
The IRA needs a new roof, needs to replace the ice coolant system and flooring, and needs to become handicapped accessible.
