The Grand Rapids American Legion Baseball team moved to 4-0 with a sweep of Cloquet in Cloquet yesterday afternoon. Grand Rapids scored 25 runs in two games as they rolled to 12-2 and 13-4 victories yesterday.

Grand Rapids broke game one open with a four-run fifth and a six run sixth inning. Noah Johnson picked up the win on the hill. He went three innings allowing two earned runs on five hits while striking out four, walking two and hitting one.

Johnson helped himself out at the plate. He had two hits and drove home two runs. Ethan Rajala did the same while John Baker, Gunnar Harris and Tanner Shepard all had two hits each. Kenn Hasbargen delivered with a double, he drove in three in the game.

Grand Rapids broke game two open as well as the plated four in the first, three in the second and two in the third as they cruised to a 13-4 victory.

Kyle Stram picked up the win. He allowed only one hit while striking out six and walking two in four innings of work. Stram had a big game at the plate as well. He finished with three hits and drove in five runs. Tanner Shepard added three hits and three runs batted in while Hasbargen added three hits including a double and two runs batted in. Harris and Baker added three hits each for Grand Rapids with Harris driving in two and scoring three times.
