Over two thousand steelworkers and supporters rallied Monday in Virginia as part of the Save Our Steel Jobs movement. The U.S. Commerce Department is expected to rule on proposed sanctions on foreign steel that steelworkers believe are being dumped in the U.S. Imports of South Korean pipe steel have doubled between 2012 and 2014.
State Senators Tom Bakk and Dave Tomassoni spoke, as well as Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton. U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken sent letters of support that were read aloud during the rally.
