The annual Fishing Opener Bar-B-Que in Grand Rapids proved to be highly successful with a great turnout, and for the first time in several years, very nice weather. The grounds of Old Central School were full of fun for everyone. We present here a bunch of snapshots of the days events. I won't try to caption the photos but some of the activities included bar-b-que sandwiches from the Sawmill Inn, Paul Bunyan Telephone brought the Berenstain Bears to town to meet the kids, there was live music by the Curb Feelers, a kids casting contest, moon bounce, door prizes from the Chamber of Commerce, the giant Adirondack chair-along with many artful normal size chairs, boats on display, fishing guides on hand to answer questions, live broadcasts on WDIO TV news, live broadcasts on KOZY and more! A great time was had by all.
