Nicole’s Awesome Biography

I was born during a blizzard in 1978, if that was any indication for things to come! I grew up in Remer, MN, riding horses and 3 wheelers and participating in school athletics as I attended a VERY small school-my
graduating class was around 35 kids.  I worked for my parents at our convienence store and trucking company throughout my high school years.  After highschool I tried ICC for a year, and decided Brown Institute in Minneapolis was the place for me.  I received a degree in broadcasting in 1998, and got a job at KKIN in Aitkin, MN.  After working there for about 6 months Tim called me from KOZY and asked if I wanted to come and check out the station-since I was driving from Grand Rapids to Aitkin everyday it only made sense!  When I found out that the music format was my favorite (I was singing CCR and Sam Cooke with my dad in the big truck my whole life!)  It was an easy choice!  I’ve been here ever since.  I started out working evenings and just recently I started the morning gig.  I also host the mid-day show.  I’m the mother of a beautiful boy that sometimes joins me in the studio- listen in and you might just hear him!  Thank you awesome listeners!  We wouldn’t be here without you!
