Tuesday night, communities across the United States gather to “take back” their communities from crime. It’s National Night Out. If your neighborhood isn’t hosting its own gathering, you’re invited to Central School for a community-wide National Night Out celebration.
Interim Grand Rapids Police Chief Scott Johnson said when local residents get to know their neighbors, it really takes a bite out of crime. This is a great opportunity to get together for a fun evening.
There will be a bike give-away, dunk tank, lots of games and challenges for the kids, and KOZY/KMFY will supply dance music. Grand Rapid’s National Night out celebration runs Tuesday night from 5 to 8pm on the grounds of Central School, downtown Grand Rapids.
