A suicidal man pointed a gun at a Grand Rapids Police Officer Monday night. According to details from the Grand Rapids Police Department, a resident called police to say that a 27 year old man with a gun was at home and upset. When officers arrives at the home on Crystal Lake Boulevard, the man was outside. As officers approached, he pointed a gun at them. The man repeatedly pointed the gun at his own head and pulled the trigger. The gun misfired. After an hour of talking, the man put down the gun and surrendered. He was placed on a 72 hour hold and transferred to Hibbing. His blood alcohol content was reported at .202.
