Itasca County Legislative Lobyist Loren Solberg gave a post-session report to the Itasca County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday during their regular meeting. Solberg reported that items proposed by the county that were passed into law include land sales and county and nursing home bonds changing from revenue bonds to general obligation bonds, saving the county $1.3 million dollars. As part of the bonding bill, twenty million dollars will be available for work on local bridges, but Solberg says he was hoping to get upwards of forty million towards that need.
The Board will next meet in regular session on Tuesday, June 24th at 2:30pm at Bovey City Hall.
