The city of Grand Rapids proved to the Minnesota Twins why Grand Rapids is Twins Territory on Saturday, August 29th as nearly 300 community members gathered at the Metrodome to attend the Twins game against the Texas Rangers.  Fans gathered in a picnic tent outside the Dome prior to the contest to enjoy baseball's favorite snack -- Cracker Jacks! -- and chat with Minnesota Twins radio broadcaster John Gordon.  KOZY Radio staff and crew were on hand to give away t-shirts and get the bunch revved up for the game.  KOZY Radio owner Mike Iaizzo tossed a ceremonial pitch to Twins catcher Mike Redmond, KOZY sales manager Jim Lamke participated in the pre-game home run derby with Twins mascot TC, in a between-innings contest a Grand Rapids resident won a year's supply of Blue Bunny ice cream, and a row of KOZY staffers was selected as the Hormel Hall of Fame row during the game and had their Grand Rapids - Twins Territory posters presented on the stadium's jumbo screens for the crowd to cheer.  Despite a 3-0 shutout loss, Grand Rapids fans celebrated their hometown team all evening long.
